During the pandemic, Kiva Cowork has become home to startups, small-business owners, and former employees beginning a new chapter of their lives with the start of a new venture. Outside economic pressure has these entrepreneurs logging countless hours just to make ends meet, as they are forced to adapt and transform with such unprecedented times. With everything going on, sickness is not an option and workplace safety is a necessity. The ability to create, innovate, collaborate, and excel is difficult when one has to worry about the cleanliness of the environment, and whether or not there is a risk of contracting Covid-19. Physical and psychological safety are two components that are crucial to producing positive, productive, and successful entrepreneurs.
Automated and passive sanitation systems implemented to decontaminate the air and surfaces within the office. With various companies, individuals, and cohorts using different rooms and indoor spaces throughout the day, it is important to have systems in place that continuously sanitize all aspects of the environment. Our team installed 3 photocatalytic oxidation devices in strategic locations and anti-microbial tape in 22 high-touch locations to maximize cleanliness and create an endless cycle of decontamination of both air and surfaces.
The work does not end after installation. As time passes and more individuals start to use the space, it is important to consistently track air and surface microbe levels, adjusting the strategy as necessary. With this in mind, we scheduled routine audits at Kiva Cowork to track and measure air and surface quality levels, which will ensure that cleanliness standards are always met and everyone is kept safe.
